May 2008 Study Visit PDF Print E-mail

A study trip is being planned for April/May 2008 to visit Montenegro and Western Serbia (including the Tara National Park). The main aim of the Study Visit is to facilitate Group to Group links and to allow UK Adults to visit some of the facilities available (campsites, activities etc).

SAMnet are looking into the possibility of combining this Study Visit with the Eurovision Scout Contest. Detailed plans will be finalised after discussion with representatives of the respective Scout Associations at the 21st World Scout Jamboree.

Itinerary
The intention is that the study trip will spend approx 3 days in Montenegro and 3 days in South Western Serbia. Where possible, the study trip will use facilities that UK Scouts could hire/visit such as Scout campsites, other “youth” facilities or hostels and visit places/undertake activities of interest to UK Scouts (10 to 18) or promoting links between UK Groups and Groups in Serbia/Montenegro.
