The second element of SAMnet's work is the promotion of South East Europe (and Serbia and Montenegro in particular) as venues for UK Scouts to visit or link with.
The Fellowship has organized a number of visits to Serbia and Montenegro for adults. The purpose of these visits is twofold:

The first is for UK Leaders & Scout Network members to see the country and see the facilities available.
The second is for the UK Leaders to make contact with their counterparts in Serbia and Montenegro and set up group to group links or exchanges.

In order to expand the countries supported by UK Scouting, the UKSA International Team in conjunction with SAMnet are looking into the possibilities of a long weekend study visit to Bulgaria in September/October 2007.

A study trip is being planned for April/May 2008 to visit Montenegro and Western Serbia (including the Tara National Park). The main aim of the Study Visit is to facilitate Group to Group links and to allow UK Adults to visit some of the facilities available (campsites, activities etc). |
